Abstract
In a placebo-controlled between-groups design, we examined the impacts of acetaminophen (Tylenol) on task-related attention while recording event-related potentials (ERPs) during a target detection task. Our findings suggest that when we slip into an off-task attentional state, acetaminophen increases the breadth of our neurocognitive disengagement from the external task environment.
