Fostering Workplace Well-Being By Supporting Employee Growth and Development: The Mediating Role of Psychological Needs Satisfaction

Abstract
The theoretical and empirical examination of the relationships between employees’ growth and development and employee and organizational well-being are under studied. In a cross-sectional sample of 1,798 workers in a large Canadian organization, the basic psychological needs (autonomy, competence, relatedness) mediated the positive relationship between opportunities for growth and well-being.
