Cognitive and emotional functioning evident in children’s responses to TAT stimuli were compared to their scores on standardized measures of intelligence and psychological functioning.
Results suggest that responses to TAT have limited validity in determining actual levels of cognitive and emotional functioning. Implications for integrated test batteries are discussed.
