Does Visual Acuity Take Effects on Chinese Reading and Mathematics?

Abstract

The purpose of the present study is to investigate whether and how visual acuity contributes to children’s reading and mathematics performance. Eighty-two Chinese kindergarten children were followed up from kindergarten to grade one. Results showed the orientation discrimination thresholds are lower in children with better reading and mathematics.
