Abstract

This behavioural study examined the effects of task and notation on the numerical processing of magnitude among English-Chinese bilinguals who showed a balanced profile of language dominance. We found that magnitude processing, as indexed by the numerical distance effect, was dependent on the type of task performed, rather than notation.
