Abstract

This study explored four conceptual models of child-mother and child-father attachments – monotropy, hierarchy, independence, integration – explaining children’s executive-functioning in ADHD vs. typical groups. Groups differed emerged on executive-functioning and attachment-cluster distribution. Results supported monotropy and integration models. Children with ADHD comprised ~74% of the high-risk cluster.
