Sex-Based Evaluative Penalties of Classism and Racism in Moral Judgment

Abstract

In an investigation of classism, researchers found that target mothers with middle-class markers who commit moral violations are perceived as belonging to a lower class and a minority status more than target mothers with middle-class markers who don’t. Target fathers do not suffer this evaluative penalty.
