Abstract

Examined the impact of Instagram on its users’ psychological wellbeing. Participants were assessed on their time spent on Instagram, Instagram anxiety, trait anxiety, social comparison, loneliness, depression, body image, and self-esteem. Results revealed participants with Instagram reported positive psychological outcomes when compared to those without. Implies Instagram promotes psychological wellbeing.
