Abstract

We examined whether anxious mood triggered by arranging phrases related to achievement failure prior to the practice phase modulated the testing effect on learning of general knowledge facts. Compared with control group, participants primed with anxious mood demonstrated stronger and similar testing effects in immediate and two-day delayed tests, respectively.
