Global and Relationship-Specific Measures of Adult Attachment Orientation

Adult attachment orientation was measured as a global construct until recently. Relationship-specific measures of attachment raise a question about when to use global or relationship-specific measures. We evaluated associations of relationship and life satisfaction with general and romantic-relationship attachment anxiety. Findings may help researchers and clinicians address attachment-based relationship issues.
