Lucky Corporate Elites Think Positively about the Future and Exhibit Low Performance

"Lucky" stock option grants, which were awarded at the lowest price of the grant month, to Corporate Elites influence their level of 'positive thinking about the future' and predicts lower company performabce. I used computerized text analysis of corporate documents in 1996-2015 and support these findings.
