Use Your Words: An Examination of the Effects of a Brief Online Emotion-Word Learning Intervention on Prospective Negative Emotion Differentiation and Symptoms of Psychopathology

The current study sought to enhance negative emotion differentiation, an ability associated with adaptive behavioral and emotional outcomes, through an online emotion word-learning intervention. Findings showed increased NED and reduced symptoms and distress post-intervention, suggesting that NED is indeed malleable and enhancing it results in beneficial outcomes.
