Proactive Personality and Employee Voice: The Impact of Organizational Commitment

Abstract

In the present study, I examine the impact of proactive personality on two types of employee voice, constructive voice and aggressive voice. Results indicate that the nature of organizational commitment serves as a boundary condition that determines whether proactive employees speak up with a pro-social purpose or a self-serving motive.
