Abstract

Although distance-learning education has grown worldwide, we show that these students suffer from negative stereotype threats. We show that these negative stereotypes negatively impact their performance, by increasing their regulatory avoidance. However, remembering them about positive stereotypes of their group can sturdily enhance their performance, by reducing their regulatory avoidance.
