Understanding Subgroups of Adult Cannabis Users Using Latent Profile Analysis

Abstract

This study utilized latent profile analysis to identify subgroups of adult cannabis users (n=374; 64.2% Male; Mage=32.6). Results supported five unique classes of users, ranging from light, infrequent users with few problems to heavy, frequent users with more problems. Additionally, distinct risk and protective factors emerged as unique class identifiers.
