Abstract
The impact of political affective polarization (A.P.) on non-voting behavior has rarely been examined. Participants evaluated a Democrat, Republican, or neutral job applicant. Attitudes and hiring decisions were assessed. Participants highest in A.P. gave the applicant that aligned with their partisanship the lowest wage and the neutral applicant the highest.
