Abstract
The interaction between the behavioral activation system (BAS) and behavioral inhibition system (BIS) was explored as it relates to depression and anxiety. Results indicated that the simultaneous presence of high BAS and BIS predicted emotional instability, which was predictive of high depression and anxiety symptoms.
