Abstract

Cardiovascular diseases (CVD) cause the greatest number of deaths worldwide and the onset for these disorders is facilitated by a variety of psychosocial (anxiety and depression) and biobehavioral (obesity) factors. Ethnic discrimination is one factor that uniquely contributes to a poorer CVD risk by effecting these psychosocial and biobehavioral factors.
