Abstract

The present study examines the indirect effects of hope on affect via flexible goal adjustment (FGA), a tendency to alter pathways to achieve one's goals. Longitudinal ordinary least squares regression and structural equation modeling were used to investigate FGA as a mechanism through which hope promotes well-being.
