Abstract
This study reports prospective evidence for increased bulimia nervosa symptoms in adolescence and related health problems in adulthood for females with substantiated childhood sexual abuse relative to nonabused peers. The study further demonstrates that bulimia nervosa symptoms may account for the effect of childhood sexual abuse on adverse health problems.
