Meta-Analysis of the Relationship between Hope, Job Satisfaction, and Job Performance

Abstract

This meta-analysis of 21 international samples (N = 4,095 employees) found significant and positive relationships between hope and the employee outcomes of job satisfaction and job performance. Further analyses revealed a stronger relationship between hope and employee outcomes in the service industry compared to the manufacturing industry across cultures.
