Abstract

This comprehensive meta-analysis shows that unresolved attachment, as assessed by the Adult Attachment Interview, identifies a two-fold risk for post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and borderline personality disorder (BPD). Highlights from a synthetic review of this literature resolves apparent contradictions in findings, differentiating etiologies related to early development versus later trauma.
