Abstract

This study examined the role of cultural values in understanding mental health stigma. 123 Asian and European Americans were primed with either collectivism (COL-PRIME) or individualism (IND-PRIME), then assessed for implicit and explicit stigma. As expected, the COL-PRIME led to higher stigma than the IND-PRIME, and ethnicity moderated this relationship.
