Positive and Negative Affect, Prosociality, and Alcohol Consumption Among a Diverse Sample of College Students

Abstract
The purpose of the study was to examine positive and negative affect and prosociality in relation to alcohol consumption. Both positive and negative affects were found to be associated with higher rates of consumption, and prosociality was not found to be a protective factor.
