The Implicit Revolution in Social, Cognitive, and Developmental Psychological Science: A Symposium in Honor of Mahzarin R. Banaji

Friday, May 26, 2017 · Boston, MA

General

For over 30 years, psychological scientists have been investigating the role of implicit cognitive processes in such domains as attention, learning, memory, evaluation, judgment, and behavior. One of the leaders in this area has been Mahzarin R. Banaji, a recipient of the William James Award. Her work on implicit stereotyping, prejudice, and system justification has been enormously influential, having been cited more than 40,000 times. In this special symposium, long-term collaborators will discuss their shared contributions to the “implicit revolution” in social, cognitive, and developmental psychology.
