Understanding and Controlling Mistaken Eyewitness Identification: Contributions of Psychological Science
Forensic DNA testing has freed hundreds of innocent people who were mistakenly identified by eyewitnesses and convicted by juries. Wells describes several of the major findings by psychological scientists and how those findings are now being put to use by law enforcement and the courts to help prevent wrongful convictions.
