Social-Psychological Approaches for Increasing Help-Seeking Among People with Depressive Symptomatology
Interventions that increase help-seeking among people with depression have the potential to save lives; however, some attempts to persuade people with depression have backfired. This symposium presents four sets of experimental investigations, all guided by social psychological theorizing, which attempt to increase help-seeking intentions among people with elevated depressive symptomatology.
