Understanding Uncertainty: Effects on Decision Making, Cognitive Control, and Emotion
Despite being ubiquitous, uncertainty can be difficult to tolerate. This symposium explores the effects of uncertainty on decision making, cognitive control, and emotion across multiple levels of analysis, from behavior to neuroimaging. Individual differences in responses to uncertainty and the potential of mindfulness-based interventions to improve responses are highlighted.
