The Perception of the Self in the Future: Affect, Cognition and Implications for Decision-Making
This symposium on the self in the future presents studies on affective forecasting, future possible selves, images and words that people use to represent themselves in the future, the consideration of future consequences and construal level theory. Implications for decision-making, health promotion and retirement planning are discussed.
