Reality Versus Fantasy: Fiction Exposure and Real-World Understanding
Starting in childhood, people experience fictional worlds in various media. This symposium investigates the interaction of fiction exposure and real-world understanding in children and adults, including anthropomorphism related to storybook exposure, science-fiction and moral vs. modal judgment, and children’s reactions to adults dressed as fictional characters encountered in different settings.
