Perceptions of Mental Illness and Its Treatment: Individual Differences, Malleability, and National Trends

Sunday, May 28, 2017 · Boston, MA

Clinical Science

This symposium will examine how implicit and explicit beliefs about the nature of mental illness and its treatment can influence both the expression of symptoms and the care people receive. We also explore ways of changing these beliefs, which may ultimately help reduce the burden of mental illness.
