Pushing the Boundaries of Emotion Perception
This symposium brings together several perspectives that demonstrate that the perceptual boundaries of emotion categories are malleable and can be shifted based on semantic priming, body priming, and culture. Implications for a more nuanced approach to emotion perception beyond the basic prototypes will be discussed.
