Uncovering the Psychology of Third Party Punishment

Sunday, May 28, 2017 · Boston, MA

Social

Why get involved in the disputes of others, or take offense when others are harmed? While these behaviors may seem irrational, recent work has begun to uncover their hidden logic. Three teams will present competing theories of the logic behind third-party punishment, and discuss evidence that can test between them.
