Blinded By the American Dream: Inaccurate Perceptions of Economic Inequality and Their Unfortunate Downstream Consequences
Gross levels of inequality permeate American society. While most Americans report a preference for greater equality, little progress had been made. Why? Four talks provide empirical evidence for the pervasive and multi-faceted underestimation of inequality in the United States and the reinforcing psychological consequences of these inaccurate perceptions.
