Transitions into the World of Work: New Insights from Motivation Science
This symposium presents new research on motivation during the transition into work. Contributions present findings from longitudinal studies that examine different aspects of motivation (i.e., goal engagement; control beliefs), different career outcomes (i.e., employment; mobility; entrepreneurship), and different countries (U.S.; Germany) with special consideration of the role of socioeconomic background.
