Coherence Based Cognition: New Developments in Voting, Reasoning, Decision Making, and Language Production
An emerging theme in cognitive research is that cognitive processing in complex tasks tends to maximize coherence. These processes are rooted in Gestalt theory and implemented via parallel constraint satisfaction processes. This symposium will present recent advances and applications of coherence driven models in four different domains.
