Abstract

While complicated grief following the death of a loved one has been seen as primarily an avoidance-related phenomena, other researchers have found that approach behavior is implicated as well. The current study examined the relationship of task-focused, emotion-focused, and avoidance-focused coping on complicated grief and depressive symptoms following a loss.
