Abstract

According to the goodness-of-fit hypothesis, developmental outcomes are the result of how well an individuals’ temperament fits with the environment. This study examined how parent temperament serves as an environmental context for adolescents. Results revealed that parent temperament moderates the relationship between adolescent temperament and emotion regulation.
