Abstract

Using longitudinal data from college freshmen, the relationship between science identity and commitment to pursue a college STEM degree was modeled and the influence of academic stress on this interaction was explored. Analyses revealed significant differences between genders as related to academic stress, and its influence on commitment to STEM.
