Correlation between Bully Victimization and Generalized Anxiety Disorder: A Focus on Sex, Race, and Ethnicity

Keyword: BullyingAbstract: This study examines the relationship between childhood bullying victimization and generalized anxiety disorder in middle adulthood using National Longitudinal Survey of Youth 1997 data. Results reveal a positive association between repeated bully victimizations and anxiety, consistent across sex and race/ethnicity. Policy and theoretical implications of these findings are discussed.
