Keyword: Attention and DistractionAbstract: This study demonstrated a lasting impact of frontal lobe dysfunction following a single mild traumatic brain injury. Using cognitive/behavioral testing and electroencephalography, concussed individuals demonstrated impairments despite reporting no concussion-based symptoms. These silent symptoms appear to last for up to three years post injury.
