Keyword: Family RelationshipsAbstract: We examined associations between parental involvement during high school and depressive symptoms after high school in a national cohort of adolescents (N=1407). More parental knowledge, frequent family meals, parental acceptance of friends, and higher family satisfaction were associated with fewer depressive symptoms, suggesting the mental health benefits of parental involvement.
