Cardiac Arrest Survivors’ PTSD Cluster-D Symptoms at Hospital Discharge Predict Negative Affect Intensity, but Not Variability, Post-Hospitalization

Keyword: OtherAbstract: We assessed momentary negative (NA) and positive affect (PA) 3x/day for 7 days in 57 cardiac arrest survivors within weeks after discharge. Average PA (15.85/25) was higher than NA (8.69/25). PTSD symptoms at discharge were associated with mean NA intensity across 7 days, but not mean PA or affect variability.
