You Don’t Know What You Don’t Know: Predictors of Inaccurate Critical Thinking Estimation in Undergraduates

Keyword: TeachingAbstract: This study examined factors relating to undergraduates’ inaccurate estimations of their critical thinking (CT) skills. Higher CT disposition and skill were associated with more accurate estimation, while most demographic and academic factors were unrelated. Findings highlight the need for more research on enhancing students’ metacognitive awareness of their CT abilities.
