Keyword: Family RelationshipsAbstract: This study examined the interaction between upward intergenerational support (both to parents and in-laws) and marital quality in 310 Chinese newlywed couples, was conducted at 6-month intervals, and used the APIM-CLPM to analyze data. The results indicated that couples' marital quality positively predicted their support for both parents and in-laws.
