Daughters of Honor: How Mothers Shape Daughters’ Aggression in Honor Cultures
Poster Session VII - Research Proposal Posters
Saturday May 24, 2025 (12:30 - 13:30 ET)
Keyword: GenderAbstract: The proposed research will examine mother’s roles in socializing daughters for aggression in honor-oriented contexts. It tests the hypothesis that women socialized in honor-oriented US states and those who strongly endorse honor values will recall that their mothers encouraged them to engage in relational aggression more than will other women.
