Keyword: Studying and LearningAbstract: This study examines how psychological needs and students’ previous knowledge is in covariation with the relationship between private tutoring and academic achievement. Data was collected from 219 Cambodian students. Results indicate that material supports (tutors, transportation to commute) and psychological needs satisfaction both lead to greater student academic achievement.
