Poster Session VII - Research Proposal Posters
Saturday May 24, 2025 (12:30 - 13:30 ET)
Keyword: HappinessAbstract: We draw on the broaden-and-build theory of positive emotion, survey, and experimental design to argue that resident gratitude will diminish tourism biases (i.e., xenophobia and ethnocentrism). We further argue that this effect will be transmitted serially through redients' cheeriness (i.e., positive emotion) and cognitive expansion (open-mindedness and openness to experience).
