Keyword: Racism and DiscriminationAbstract: Thematic analyses of interviews with 32 Asian-American participants found that they engaged in dialectical thinking in response to racial discrimination. The results showed that participants held conflicting beliefs in three areas: discrimination, cultural identity, and family dynamics.
