Frequentist and Bayesian Measurement Invariance: Comparisons with Ordinal Indicators.
Poster Session VI
Saturday May 24, 2025 (10:30 - 11:30 ET)
Keyword: OtherAbstract: Measurement invariance (MI) with ordered categorical indicators in the Brief Problem Checklist was tested using frequentist and Bayesian methodologies. Weak invariance was found using multiple-group confirmatory factor analysis, while Bayesian methods consistently favored models with increased model constraints. The benefits and drawbacks of the flexibility of Bayesian methodologies are discussed.
